Plaque, AD 2010. Steel and paint
This plaque records the Official Opening of the museum on Thursday 25 February 2010 by His Excellency Bishop Ad Abikaram, the Maronite Bishop of Australia and the Patron of the museum. Bishop Ad Abikaram came from Lebanon and was the Maronite Bishop of Australia from 2001-13. The Official Opening took place at the Maronite Heritage Centre, Redfern, in Sydney. The plaque is made of steel and includes the logo of the museum, comprised of its initials ‘T M’, which has been used on the museum’s documents since its foundation. The plaque is thus an important part of the record of the history of the museum.
